Removing a sealed bearing without the right extractor usually means gouging the bore or wrecking the bearing on the way out. Wheels Manufacturing's extractors are machined to grip the bearing's inside race so it taps out clean, ready for a fresh press-in.

How it works

Insert the extractor into the bearing, tighten one side with a matching wrench or Allen key, and the collet expands to grip the inside of the bearing. Tap the extractor and bearing out together with a punch and hammer, or use the SET version with a threaded rod press handle. Extractors are size-specific: using one on the wrong bearing size will damage or break it. Wheels Manufacturing suggests a shim between extractor and bearing if the fit isn't tight enough before tightening the bolt.

Compatibility & fit

Match the extractor's ID to the sealed bearing's stamped inside diameter before use — the SCV source text is explicit that these tools are size-specific and the wrong size will damage the extractor or fail to grip. The SET variants and Pusher need a separate 1/2" threaded rod press handle (sold separately) to function; the individual extractors work with a hand wrench and a hammer and punch.
