Some hub and suspension pivot bearings sit over the axle rather than beside it, which an open bore drift can't reach. An over axle adapter slides over the axle first so the press load still lands squarely on the bearing.

How it works
An over axle adapter is necessary when the bearing slides over the axle before it's pressed into the hub shell or suspension component. Additional speed spacers are often needed alongside it to clear the end of the axle and give the press enough travel to fully seat the bearing.

Match the option value's bearing number to the sealed bearing being installed. Compatible with the Wheels Manufacturing PRESS-1 or PRESS-4 handles. The 6802 and 6902 option values ship with thin SCV source copy that doesn't state a bearing OD or thickness — treat those two as unverified and check wheelsmfg.com before publishing a full spec for them.
