Shimano WH-RS171 front wheel, 700C Center Lock disc

A disc-brake front wheel built around a wider 19C rim, so wider tyres sit in a better shape and ride with more support. It is more than 100 g lighter than the WH-RS170 it replaces, and the 12 mm E-THRU axle keeps the front end precise under braking.

Wider rim, lower weight

The 19C rim profile gives a wider tyre a flatter, better-supported casing than an older narrow rim, which helps grip and comfort at sensible pressures. Shimano lists the average weight at 897 g.

Compatibility and fit

Fits disc-brake frames with a 12 mm front thru axle and 100 mm hub spacing. The hub uses a Center Lock rotor mount, and Shimano lists this wheel as compatible with a 140 mm disc brake rotor.
