Going from 203 to 223 mm gives your brake more leverage on the wheel. Trickstuff puts the gain at about 10% more braking force, so you can brake later and with less effort on long, steep and fast tracks.

Less arm pump, more control

A bigger disc needs less lever force for the same stopping power. That eases hand fatigue over a long run and leaves more in reserve for the last braking point before a corner.

Fitting and care

Rotors are directional: the arrow and labelling face outwards. Trickstuff asks for new rotor bolts (or bolts with a drop of medium-strength threadlocker), tightened crosswise to the hub maker's torque (max. 6 Nm). Bed new discs in before the first ride (about 20 firm stops from 30 km/h to 5 km/h). To degrease a disc, Trickstuff recommends washing-up liquid and plenty of clean water, not brake cleaner, isopropyl alcohol or acetone.

Compatibility & fit

6-bolt (IS) mount, 223 mm. Trickstuff states its brake discs are compatible with all common disc brakes. Check that your frame and fork are rated for a 223 mm rotor, that you have a caliper adapter for that size, and that your brake takes a 2.05 mm disc. Rotor bolts are not included. Our workshop can fit the rotor and adapter and align your caliper.
