The Dächle Disc HD is Trickstuff's heavy-duty rotor. A thick 2.05 mm disc and a broad 15.5 mm friction ring give it a big reserve of heat capacity, so your brakes keep their bite and feel on long, steep descents.

Built to soak up heat

Hard braking turns speed into heat. The HD's solid friction ring absorbs that energy and releases it to the air, while the drilling pattern wipes the pad surface on every rotation. The result is braking that stays consistent when the descent goes on longer than planned.

The name? Dächle is regional dialect for "little roof", after the bevelled outer edge Trickstuff gives its discs to make refitting the wheel easier.

Fitting and care

Rotors are directional: the arrow and labelling face outwards. Trickstuff asks for new rotor bolts (or bolts with a drop of medium-strength threadlocker), tightened crosswise to the hub maker's torque (max. 6 Nm). Bed new discs in before the first ride (about 20 firm stops from 30 km/h to 5 km/h). To degrease a disc, Trickstuff recommends washing-up liquid and plenty of clean water, not brake cleaner, isopropyl alcohol or acetone.

Compatibility & fit

6-bolt (IS) mount. Trickstuff states its brake discs are compatible with all common disc brakes. Before you order, check your frame and fork limits for rotor size and your brake maker's disc thickness limits. Rotor bolts are not included. A Centre Lock hub needs a Centre Lock to 6-bolt adapter. Our workshop can fit your rotors and set up the calipers so they run clean and quiet.
