Details

Grade 5 (6Al-4V) titanium is about 45 % lighter than steel at the same strength, and it doesn't rust. Use anti-seize or a copper grease on the thread — titanium galls on alloy and steel if fitted dry — and torque to your stem or seat post maker's figure, never beyond.

Stem bolts are a wear item: replace any with a rounded head or a stretched thread, and fit them with a torque wrench — over-tightening a bar clamp is how carbon bars fail.

Fit

Check the thread size and the length against the bolt you're replacing; the head type must suit your tool. Sold individually.

Fasteners are covered against defects in materials and workmanship. Damage from over-torquing, incorrect thread or head engagement, or use in the wrong application isn't covered.
