Reliable hydraulic power
The Rival 1 HRD runs on DOT 5.1 fluid through a sealed hydraulic system for repeatable lever feel and strong, fade-resistant braking. The 2-piston caliper is forged from aluminium and uses steel-backed organic pads for quiet, progressive bite.
Comfortable, adjustable lever
As a 1x left lever this is a brake-only control (no shifting), with an ErgoDynamic hood shape for a secure finger wrap on the drops and tooled reach adjustment to dial in fit for your hand size.
Compatibility & fit
This is the left lever and front-brake caliper assembly with a 950mm hose and Direct (post) mount hardware. Designed for SRAM Rival 1 (HRD) road, gravel and cyclocross drop-bar setups. The rotor and any mount bracket/adaptor are sold separately, so confirm your frame or fork mounting standard and required rotor size before purchase. Note: on the standard road layout the left lever operates the front brake.
SRAM components are covered by SRAM's limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship for two years from the original date of purchase. The warranty does not cover damage from crashes, misuse, improper installation, or normal wear (including brake pads and rotors).
