What it is
This is a replacement (service) bearing set for the rear hub of the SRAM Rise XX carbon mountain bike wheelset. The ceramic cartridge bearings sit in the XD freehub body, which is the driver that accepts an XD-specific cassette. Swapping worn or notchy bearings is the standard way to bring back the free-running feel and quiet drivetrain of a fresh wheel.
Why ceramic
The Rise XX set uses ceramic bearings rather than the steel bearings found in SRAM's standard X0 and Rise 60 hub kits. Ceramic balls run with lower rolling resistance and are highly durable, which is why they were specified on SRAM's flagship Rise XX wheels.
Compatibility & fit
Designed for the rear wheel of the SRAM Rise XX wheelset and its XD freehub body. This is the ceramic-specific service set (SRAM part 11.1918.003.070); it is not interchangeable with the steel rear bearing kit used on X0 / Rise 60 / Roam / Rail wheels.
