Why a clamp adapter
Many performance frames are built around a braze-on (direct-mount) front derailleur but some riders need the flexibility of a clamp. This adapter bridges that gap: it bolts firmly to a 31.8mm seat tube and presents a standard braze-on tab, so you can fit a high-end braze-on derailleur to a frame that lacks the welded mount.
ChainSpotter ready
The clamp carries an integrated stop for SRAM's ChainSpotter, a lightweight inner chain guide that helps stop the chain dropping to the inside on rough or hard-shifting efforts. The ChainSpotter device itself is supplied with SRAM RED braze-on derailleurs or available separately, not included with the clamp.
Fit and compatibility
Designed for a 31.8mm round seat tube. Measure your seat tube diameter before ordering, as the clamp must seat fully without bottoming out or leaving a gap. Compatible with SRAM road braze-on front derailleurs including RED, RED eTap AXS, RED 22, Force, Rival and Apex, and also fits Shimano braze-on front derailleurs.
SRAM components are covered by SRAM's limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship for two years from the original date of purchase. The warranty does not cover damage from crashes, abuse, improper installation, or normal wear and tear.
