Premium road braking
The RED 22 caliper sits at the top of SRAM's road hydraulic disc range. Its two-piston design squeezes steel-backed organic pads against the rotor for crisp lever feel and reliable power, while the sealed DOT hydraulic system shrugs off heat and contamination far better than rim braking.
What you get
The caliper arrives assembled with brake pads installed. It does not include a hose, lever, rotor or mounting hardware adaptor, so it is intended as a direct caliper replacement or a spare for a workshop. The hose is connected and the brake is bled as part of fitting.
Compatibility and fit
This is an 18mm post mount caliper that works equally as a front or rear unit. It is compatible with SRAM road hydraulic (HRD) brake levers and the SRAM road DOT hydraulic platform, and uses SRAM-approved DOT 5.1 (or DOT 4) brake fluid. If your frame or fork uses a flat mount or direct mount interface, confirm your mount standard before ordering, as this is a post mount caliper.
SRAM components are covered by SRAM's standard limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of two years from the original date of purchase. The warranty does not cover damage from crashes, abuse, improper installation, normal wear (including brake pad wear) or modification.
