Zero Loss DoubleTap shifting
SRAM's DoubleTap mechanism uses one paddle for shifting, so you never hunt between two levers. The Zero Loss feature removes the dead stroke before the cable moves, meaning the moment you push the paddle the front derailleur responds. The result is faster, more positive front shifts with minimal lever travel from any hand position on the bar.
Ergonomics and control
The ErgoDynamics design pairs a smaller, sculpted hood with a fixed carbon-fibre brake lever for a natural grip and strong braking leverage. Independent reach adjust lets you dial both the brake lever and the shift paddle to your hand size for a custom fit.
Compatibility and fit
This is the left (front) control only and shifts a 2-speed front, so it suits road bikes running a double chainring. It is designed to work with SRAM road front derailleurs and DoubleTap-compatible SRAM road groupsets of this era. In the standard Australian setup the left lever operates the rear brake. It does not control the rear derailleur; pair it with the matching right-hand DoubleTap rear control for a complete cockpit.
SRAM components are covered by SRAM's manufacturer warranty against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of two years from the original date of purchase. The warranty does not cover damage caused by crashes, misuse, improper installation, or normal wear.
