Even spoke tension is what makes a wheel last. The TB-ST12 gives you a number for each spoke, so you can build to the rim maker's figure and keep each side of the wheel even.

Using it

Squeeze the handle grips, place the spoke between the fixed and movable studs, release gently and read the scale. Look up the reading against your spoke size in the table to get tension in kgf.

Spokes covered

Super B's table covers round and butted spokes from 1.5 to 2.3 mm and bladed spokes from 1.7 x 0.9 mm to 4.5 x 1.0 mm. It suggests keeping each spoke within 20 percent of that side's average and getting the target tension from the rim maker.

Compatibility & fit
