Modern carbon and aero frames are built to go fast, not to be squeezed in a workstand clamp. Hirobel holds the bike at the tube junctions, where the walls are thickest, so clamping forces are spread over a much larger area.

Why conventional clamps are a problem

Workstand clamps were designed for round steel tubing more than 40 years ago. On aero, oversized or carbon tubes, integrated seat masts and dropper posts, a conventional clamp can put very high point loads on the tube edges, damaging the finish or the carbon layup, or crushing light tubes. Hirobel's shaped cones and bindings cradle the frame at the intersections instead.

Better in the stand

Holding the bike closer to its centre of gravity improves stability and stops the bike bouncing during heavier work, and it positions the drivetrain consistently higher for better visibility and less back strain.

Compatibility & fit

Works with most workstands and clamp designs; tighten the stand's clamp firmly on the Hirobel (you can't damage it by overtightening) to stop it rotating. Not specifically designed for full-suspension mountain bikes, but usable: seat the front cone inside the frame by the headset and the second cone under the saddle. Replacement straps are sold separately.
