SHADOW ES Impact Survivability

Shimano's SHADOW ES (Electronic Stabiliser) is a slimmer, stronger evolution of the original Shadow chain-stabilising concept. The wedge-profile body gains 23 mm of additional ground clearance over the previous generation and is engineered to deflect off rocks and roots rather than absorb a direct hit. Dual-spring chain stabilisation keeps the chain tracking quietly on rough, high-speed descents.

SW-M9250R Clamp Band Shifter

The wireless shift switch mounts directly to 22.2 mm handlebars with a standard clamp band — the right choice for flat-bar builds and riders who do not use I-Spec EV integrated brake levers. Four-way paddle adjustment lets you fine-tune reach and angle for your exact hand size and grip preference. The shifter is powered by two CR-1632 coin cell batteries (included) and pairs to the system via QR code or the E-TUBE app.

The RD-M9250-GS (medium/mid cage) supports a maximum sprocket of 45T and a chain wrap capacity of 36T, making it optimised for cassettes such as the Shimano CS-M9100 10-45T. Compatible with XTR M9100/M9250, Deore XT M8100, SLX M7100 and Deore M6100 12-speed cassettes, chainrings and chains. Rear derailleur mounting: 10×1mm standard or Shimano Rear Direct Mount.
