The BR-M9120 caliper is machined from a cold-forged aluminium body housing four ceramic pistons. This design delivers 10% greater braking force with reduced lever input compared with its predecessor, while Servo Wave technology ensures smooth, predictable modulation so you can feather braking force precisely through corners and on loose terrain. Time lag from lever pull to pad contact is reduced by 30% versus M9020.
Lever Ergonomics & Adjustability
The BL-M9120 lever features a repositioned, angled clamp that sits closer to the bar's centre — increasing overall stiffness by 8% for a more direct, connected feel. Two-finger ergonomics suit a wide range of hand sizes, and tool-free reach and free-travel adjustment let you dial in the exact feel you prefer without tools on the trail or in the pits.
N04C Metal Pads with Cooling Fins
Supplied with Shimano's N04C Ice-Tech metal pads featuring alloy cooling fins, this set is engineered for sustained braking performance on long, steep descents. Metal pads offer greater heat resistance than resin compounds and resist fade in wet or muddy conditions, making them the ideal choice for trail and enduro riding.
