Ultegra R8000 Technology

Cable housings use OT-SP41 shift casing for smooth, consistent cable actuation.

The hood shape has been refined over the previous generation — marginally smaller in profile, with an improved texture pattern for enhanced grip in wet conditions. The extended reach adjust mechanism accommodates a wider range of hand sizes without requiring shims or spacers, making setup faster and fit more precise. Single-finger lever operation is achievable for most riders.

Compatibility & Fit

This is the left-hand lever only, operating front derailleur shifting (2-speed) and rim braking. Compatible with Shimano 11-speed road drivetrains including Ultegra R8000, 105 R7000, and Dura-Ace R9100 front derailleurs. Works with Shimano SLR-EV rim brake callipers. Clamp diameter: 23.8–24.2 mm (fits standard 23.8 mm road handlebars). Not compatible with disc brake systems or electronic Di2 shifting.
