What it does
During installation the bosses on the TL-BME06 locate into the alignment holes on the lower bracket. The upper bracket is then positioned so its alignment holes also engage the tool, and the bracket is secured in that exact position. Once the upper bracket is tightened, the tool is removed.
Why it matters
An integrated battery mount has to be square and correctly spaced for the battery to lock in and release cleanly. Using the dedicated setting tool gives a repeatable, accurate result rather than relying on eye and feel, which protects both the mount and the battery.
