The short shift arc follows the natural arc of your fingers, reducing effort over long rides.

Flat-Mount Hydraulic Calipers

The BR-RS405 calipers use the flat-mount standard now found on virtually all modern road and gravel frames. The 2-piston design delivers consistent, progressive stopping power in all conditions with minimal lever effort. Calipers arrive pre-bled with brake hose kit SM-BH59-J-SS attached and capped, making installation clean and straightforward. L02A resin pads with fins are included.

Compatibility & Fit

This shifter set is designed for use with Shimano Tiagra 4700 groupsets only — the cable pull and shifting indexing are tuned specifically for Tiagra 4700 rear derailleurs (RD-4700) and front derailleurs (FD-4700). The hydraulic system uses Shimano mineral oil exclusively; do not use DOT fluid. Rotor and frame adapter sold separately. Compatible with flat-mount frames accepting 140mm or 160mm rotors.
