Intelligent Charging
Used with the EC-E8004 fast charger, the BT-E8016 reaches 50% in just 2.5 hours and 80% in 3 hours — handy for a lunchtime top-up on long adventures. A full charge completes in approximately 6 hours. The battery can be charged both while mounted on the bike or removed for convenience. Compatible chargers include the EC-E6002 and EC-E8004.
Compatibility & Fit
The BT-E8016 is designed for Shimano STEPS E8000 and E6100 e-MTB drive systems. It mounts to the frame's down tube using the BM-E8016 battery holder, which must be purchased separately — this battery is supplied without a mount. It is not compatible with the older BM-E8010 holder or the EC-E6000 charger. Confirm frame compatibility with your bike manufacturer before ordering.
Shimano warrants this product against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of two years from the date of original retail purchase. Shimano's obligation under this warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of the product at Shimano's discretion. This warranty does not cover damage resulting from accident, misuse, abuse, neglect, or unauthorised modification.
