Construction & Technology

The DH-UR700-3D uses a redesigned internal ring magnet unit that generates electricity with far less mechanical resistance than older Shimano dynamo hubs. Angular contact bearings are preloaded for smooth, precise rotation and sealed against ingress from rain and road spray. The alloy shell is finished in black and drilled for 32 spokes with a 62mm bolt circle diameter flange on both sides. Flange distance is 52mm with a 3.5mm offset.

SM-DH10 Overvoltage Protector

The included SM-DH10 acts as a crowbar protection device, clamping voltage when it exceeds approximately 8.8V — a risk that occurs when riding fast with lights disconnected or at low load. It mounts to a standard rear light rack and is compatible with 50mm and 80mm hole spacings, making it easy to install alongside your existing dynamo lighting setup.
