Shimano Low Viscosity Oil is the brake fluid for Shimano's newest hydraulic disc brakes, including the XTR M9200, Deore XT M8200 and Deore M6200 families. This 1 L workshop bottle covers repeated bleeds and servicing.

Never mix the two oils
Shimano warns that low viscosity oil must not be mixed with Shimano hydraulic mineral oil, and that only the oil specified for a brake should be used, as the wrong fluid can stop the brakes working. Brakes built for standard Shimano mineral oil stay on that oil.
Compatibility and fit
Shimano lists these low viscosity oil models. Levers: BL-M9200, BL-M9220, BL-M8200, BL-M6200 and BL-MT620. Calipers: BR-M9200, BR-M9220, BR-M8200, BR-M8220, BR-M6200, BR-M6220, BR-MT600 and BR-MT620, plus BR-MT805 when paired with a BL-M9200, BL-M9220 or BL-M8200 lever. Hose, connector inserts, olives and TL-BR001 / TL-BR003 bleed tools are shared between both oils, so clean tools thoroughly between jobs.
Covered by Shimano's warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. Brake oil is a consumable: contamination after opening, and damage caused by using the wrong oil or mixing oils, are not covered. This cover is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
