Engineering & Construction

The FH-RS770 uses Shimano's cup-and-cone bearing system — the same architecture found across Ultegra and Dura-Ace hubs. Cones are machined using a special Boron Nitride process for ultra-smooth rotation and excellent durability. The labyrinth seal combined with contact seals and an internal grease sleeve provides effective protection from water and dirt ingress, making the hub well-suited to all-weather riding and mixed-surface use.

Wheelbuilding

With 32 spoke holes, a flange distance of 55.7mm, and an offset of 7.5mm, the FH-RS770 builds into a balanced, stiff rear wheel suitable for endurance road, race disc, and light gravel applications. The black and silver finish is clean and unbranded, pairing with a wide range of rim options.
