Wireless Di2 Shifting

The ST-R9270-L communicates wirelessly with the Dura-Ace Di2 drivetrain, eliminating shift cables for a cleaner, lighter cockpit. Customise shift button assignments and update firmware through Shimano's E-Tube Project app. The lever also retains a satellite shifter port (SD300) for compatibility with bar-end or clip-on shifters.

Servo Wave Hydraulic Braking

Servo Wave action progressively increases mechanical advantage as the lever is pulled, delivering light initial lever feel followed by powerful, controlled braking force. The expanded braking control area — 13% wider than the previous generation — gives riders more modulation across a broader range of lever travel. Shimano mineral oil hydraulic fluid is used throughout, and the system features funnel bleeding and free stroke adjustment for easy servicing. Recommended caliper is the BR-R9270 (sold separately), using SM-BH90-JK-SSR hose kits.

Compatibility & Fit

Designed for Shimano Dura-Ace R9200 Di2 groupsets with 2x12-speed drivetrains. Clamp band fits handlebars of 23.8–24.2 mm diameter. Pairs with the BR-R9270 flat mount hydraulic disc brake caliper (sold separately). This is the left-hand lever — in Australian convention, the left lever operates the rear brake. The right-hand lever (ST-R9270-R) is sold separately.
