Di2 Electronic Control
The ST-R9170 connects to Shimano's E-TUBE Di2 network via two SD50 ports, allowing each switch to be assigned independently — upshift, downshift, or front/rear derailleur — through the E-TUBE Project app. SyncroShift enables the front derailleur to automatically manage chainring selection based on rear cassette position, reducing cognitive load during hard efforts.
Hydraulic Brake Integration
Shimano's hydraulic system delivers consistent, modulated braking power with low lever effort. The lever shape, stroke length, and contact point have been specifically tuned for road racing ergonomics. Reach adjust allows the lever to be moved closer to or further from the bar to suit different hand sizes, while free stroke adjustment dials in the feel of initial pad contact.
Compatibility & Fit
Designed for Shimano Dura-Ace R9150 Di2 disc brake road groupsets. Compatible with BR-R9170 flat-mount disc brake calipers and SM-BH90 hydraulic hose. Requires a Di2 battery (BM-DN100 or BT-DN110) and junction. Note: not compatible with SW-R610 sprint shifters — use SW-R9150 instead. Right lever only; sold separately from the left lever.
