Construction

The HB-7710-R shell is machined aluminium finished in silver. Bearings run on Borozon-hardened cup-and-cone races — Shimano's proven serviceable bearing platform — with stainless steel balls and a dust cap seal. The chromed steel axle secures via flanged axle nuts for a positive, rattle-free fit in horizontal and track-end dropouts.

Track Heritage

The Dura-Ace Track 7710 series has been a mainstay of velodrome competition and fixed-gear riding for decades. The HB-7710-R's 28-hole lacing option suits lighter riders or lower spoke-count aero wheel builds while retaining the strength and stiffness the track environment requires. Note: NJS certification applies to the 36-hole variant only; the 28-hole hub is not NJS stamped.
