The Shimano Dura-Ace HB-7600-F is Japan's benchmark front track hub — a high-flange, forged aluminium hub built to the exacting standards used by professional Keirin riders on the velodrome. Combining rigid lateral stiffness with the buttery smoothness of Borozon-treated bearing races, it delivers precise, responsive power transfer from the very first sprint off the line.
Highlights
- Hi-flange forged aluminium body: Larger flange diameter stiffens the wheel laterally for explosive track sprinting and banked cornering.
- Borozon-treated bearing races: Hardened races paired with stainless steel ball bearings run exceptionally smooth and resist wear over thousands of kilometres.
- Chrome-plated steel axle: Durable, corrosion-resistant hollow axle with flanged nuts for a secure, rattle-free fit in the fork.
- 28-hole lacing: Ideal balance of wheel stiffness and spoke count for competitive track and fixed-gear road use.
- Dura-Ace quality: Shimano's flagship component standard — the same hub trusted by professional track cyclists across Japan and beyond.
Performance & Design
The HB-7600-F's high-flange design reduces effective spoke length, which increases lateral wheel stiffness and improves power transfer during accelerations and sprints. The flawlessly finished aluminium body is polished to a mirror shine, complementing any high-end track build. Bearing preload is fully adjustable via cone-and-locknut servicing, making this hub straightforward to maintain over its long service life.
Compatibility & Fit
Designed for track and fixed-gear use. Over-locknut dimension (O.L.D.) is 100 mm, fitting standard track fork dropouts. Axle length is 142 mm with an M9 axle diameter. Laced to 28 spokes; not suitable for radial lacing (radial lacing may void Shimano's warranty). The 36-hole variant carries the NJS stamp — this 28-hole version does not, and is suited to competitive and recreational track riding outside NJS-regulated Keirin events.
