Di2 Electronic Precision
The FD-R9250 uses Shimano's latest Di2 electronic actuation, communicating through the semi-wireless Di2 architecture of the R9200 system. Front and rear shifts are coordinated automatically in Synchro and Semi-Synchro modes, reducing rider input and virtually eliminating chain rub. Shift customisation is available through the Shimano E-TUBE App, allowing riders to fine-tune response behaviour to suit their riding style.
Aerodynamic & Lightweight Design
DURA-ACE R9200 was developed in partnership with WorldTour teams who demanded measurable performance gains. The FD-R9250's down-swing cage geometry and reduced overall volume trim aerodynamic drag without compromising cage stiffness or shift reliability. The result is a component that performs at the highest level while adding minimal weight and wind resistance to the front end of the bike.
Compatibility & Fit
The FD-R9250 uses a braze-on mount and is compatible with frames having a chainstay angle of 61–66°. It is designed for 2×12-speed drivetrains with a chain line of 44.5mm and supports outer chainrings up to 55 teeth with a maximum 16-tooth differential between inner and outer rings. Compatible with DURA-ACE R9200 and ULTEGRA R8100 cranks and STI levers. Requires an EW-SD300 Di2 connection wire (sold separately). An SM-AD91 adaptor is available for frames requiring a band-on mount.
