Aerodynamic Design for TT and Triathlon

The ST-R9160 mounts directly to aero base bars via an expanding wedge clamp, covering bar diameters from 19.0 mm to 22.5 mm. Brake cables route internally through the bar for a smooth, drag-free cockpit. The single-button-per-lever interface keeps hand movement minimal while you hold your aero position.

Synchronized Shift and E-Tube Connectivity

Each lever carries one SD50 port for E-Tube wiring and connects to the rest of the Di2 system including the BT-DN300 junction. Synchronized Shift mode lets the system handle front derailleur trim automatically so you can focus on rear shifts only. All button functions are reassignable through Shimano's E-Tube Project software, and Multi-Shift lets you hold a button to sweep quickly through the cassette.

Compatibility & Fit

Designed for 11-speed Dura-Ace Di2 (R9150 series) drivetrains with rim brakes. Optimised for use with Shimano Super SLR brake calipers. Works alongside SW-R9160 bar-end satellite shifters (sold separately). E-Tube wires are sold separately. Clamps to base bars with an inner diameter of 19.0–22.5 mm.
