The Shimano Deore XT PD-M8120 is a dual-sided SPD clipless pedal built for trail and enduro riding, where you want a secure clip-in plus a wide, stable platform under foot. An integrated cage surrounds the SPD binding to add support when you are pushing through rough terrain and to help protect the mechanism from rock strikes.

Built for trail and enduro control

The aluminium body gives you a broad contact patch that behaves like a small platform pedal, so your foot stays settled over technical ground. The cage around the SPD mechanism means that even before you are fully clipped in, your shoe has something solid to push against.

Reliable SPD engagement

This is a true two-sided SPD pedal, so there is no hunting for the right face. The mechanism uses the standard SM-SH51 cleats (included), giving roughly 4 degrees of float before release and a clear, positive click in and out. Release tension is adjustable to suit your preference.

Compatibility & fit

Fits any crank with the standard 9/16\" x 20 TPI pedal thread. Works with all Shimano SPD (two-bolt) mountain bike and gravel shoes. Includes SM-SH51 cleats; SM-SH56 multi-release cleats can be fitted as an alternative. Tighten the axles with an 8 mm hex key and note the left pedal has a left-hand (reverse) thread.
