Quick to engage and easy to look after, the FH-M8210-B is Deore XT's rear hub for 12-speed mountain bike wheel builds. It pairs Shimano's Direct Engagement freehub with steel cartridge bearings in a 148 mm Boost, 32-hole shell.

Built for Boost frames

The 148 x 12 mm E-THRU spacing matches current Boost MTB frames, and 32-hole drilling suits a conventional, durable wheel build. Shimano designed the seals and bearings to reduce drag while coasting.

Compatibility and fit

Fits frames with 148 x 12 mm Boost rear spacing and a 12 mm thru axle; it does not suit 142 mm or 157 mm frames. The freehub takes 12-speed Micro Spline cassettes only, not HG-spline cassettes. Rotors mount via Center Lock: Shimano lists the hub as compatible with internal, external and dual-serration lock rings, and no lock ring is supplied with the hub.
