Construction

The FC-M8120-1 uses Shimano's hollow-forged aluminium crank arm construction — the same core process used across the XT and XTR lines — to achieve an excellent balance of torsional stiffness and weight. The HOLLOWTECH II integrated axle eliminates external bottom bracket threads from the crank assembly, resulting in a stiffer drivetrain interface and easier servicing in the field.

What's Included

This listing is for the crank arm assembly only. No chainring is included — pair with a Shimano SM-CRM85 Direct Mount chainring (sold separately). A bottom bracket is also not included; select the appropriate Shimano HOLLOWTECH II MTB bottom bracket to suit your frame's shell standard. The Shimano TL-FC41 crank installation tool is required for fitting and is sold separately.

This is the 175mm crank arm length variant. Compatible with 12-speed Shimano MTB drivetrains. Requires a Boost rear hub (141mm or 148mm spacing) to achieve the specified 55mm chainline.
