The Micro Spline body accepts Shimano 12-speed Micro Spline cassettes, allowing a 10-tooth smallest sprocket for a wider usable range. It sits at the Deore and SLX performance level and is approved for e-bike use.
Sealing and bearings
Cartridge bearings run inside a labyrinth-and-contact sealing system, keeping water and grit out to extend service life through wet and dusty riding. The steel pawl freehub body delivers consistent, durable engagement.
Compatibility & fit
Suits 148mm Boost frames with a 12mm E-Thru rear axle and Centre Lock disc rotors. Requires a Shimano Micro Spline cassette (12-speed) — it will not accept HG or Hyperglide cassettes. Drilled 28-hole and compatible with 13g (2.3mm) and 14g (2.0mm) spokes. Note: this is the MS-B (Micro Spline, 12-speed) variant; the HG-spline 8/9/10/11-speed equivalent is the separate FH-TC500-HM-B.
