A 12mm thru-axle that replaces your bike's own rear axle and lets you attach a BOB Trailer, so you can tow it with a thru-axle bike instead of the trailer's original quick-release mount.

Highlights

  • M12x1.0 thread pitch
  • 184mm true shaft length, shortens to 169mm or 175mm with the included spacers
  • 7075 aluminium shaft, hard black anodised; stainless steel axle ends
  • Installs and removes with a standard 5mm hex key, no special tools
  • Designed for BOB Trailer bobbins (sold separately, or reuse your bike's stock BOB quick-release bobbins)

Fit

Thread pitch, shaft length and hub width all have to match your bike exactly, and a thru-axle's length is not the same number as your hub's width spec – an axle has to be longer than the hub to fit the frame. Check your bike against Robert Axle Project's online Axle Finder before ordering.

Compatibility & fit

Fits bikes with a 12mm thru-axle and M12x1.0 rear dropout thread. The Tune workshop can measure your existing axle and fit the new one.
