Race Face built the Vault as the hub of choice for custom wheel builds. This J-Bend front hub suits 15x110 Boost forks, with an oversized shell for stiffness and a 6-bolt rotor mount, in six colours to match or contrast the rest of your bike.

Built for custom wheels

Race Face designs the Vault as an adaptable hub for custom builds. The J414 front runs 6805 cartridge bearings inside an oversized shell, and the end caps pull off by hand when it's time for bearing service. Alternative J414 end caps (15x110 Boost Torque Cap and 20x110 Boost) are available separately.

Wheel building notes

Race Face sets a maximum spoke tension of 122 kgf at the hub, and radial or 1-cross lacing isn't permitted on Vault disc hubs. Build it into a rim with the same hole count and evenly spaced (not paired) spoke holes. Use 10mm-long rotor bolts and don't exceed 6.5 Nm at the hub's rotor bolt holes.

Compatibility & fit

Fits forks with a 15x110 Boost thru-axle as supplied. Race Face Boost hubs can't be converted to non-Boost (or the other way round), so a 15x100 fork needs the Vault 15x100 front hub. Our Sydney workshop can build this hub into a custom wheel; wheel building is a separate workshop service and isn't included.
