Era is Race Face's carbon answer to arm pump and hand fatigue. Rather than making one long bar and asking you to cut it down, Race Face built every width and rise with its own layup, so each Era hits the same Goldilocks (GL) tune: compliant enough to take the sting out of rough trails, stiff enough to steer with precision.

Less trimming, more comfort

Trimming a bar makes it stiffer and, in the end, less comfortable. Era comes in the width and rise you want, each with a layup tuned for that size, so you get the intended ride feel without reaching for the hacksaw. If you do want it narrower, the 760mm bar trims to 720mm and the 780mm and 800mm bars trim to 760mm.

Strength in numbers

Race Face lays up nearly 100 individual pieces of carbon fibre by hand and binds them with a toughened epoxy resin. Race Face says the result is the highest strength-to-weight ratio of any handlebar it tested, and it backs that with a Lifetime Warranty that includes crashes.

Compatibility & fit

Era has a 35mm clamp, so it needs a 35mm stem. Race Face specifies a stem with a clamp no wider than 60mm; Era is not compatible with wider stems such as direct mount stems. Use a torque wrench and carbon assembly paste when fitting. The 10mm rise comes in 760mm only, and the 40mm and 55mm rises in 780mm and 800mm only. If you'd like our mechanics to fit the bar and set up your cockpit, that's a separate workshop service.

Race Face covers this product under its Lifetime Warranty, crashes included: break it while riding and Race Face will replace it. Lifetime means the expected usable life of the product with regular riding. Normal wear and tear, improper installation or repairs, intentional damage and damage that happens off the bike aren't covered. For warranty support, return the product to Tune Cycles and we'll manage the claim with Ride Fox Australia, Race Face's Australian distributor.
