The Sonic/Ergo/52a pairs Profile Design's lightest current bracket with its Ergo armrest and 52a aluminium extensions. It's designed to present minimal frontal area while giving a wide fit range, so you can set up for both speed and comfort.

Fit range
Armrest offset runs from -70 mm to -17.5 mm in 7.5 mm steps, and armrest width from 124 mm to 290 mm in 18.5 mm steps (measured with the extensions at 100 mm). Minimum armrest stack is 60 mm; Profile Design's riser kits add up to 70 mm, for 130 mm of stack in 5 mm increments. As a clip-on bar, extension width and tilt are also easy to adjust.
For comparison, Profile Design's previous top clip-on, the J4/F35, offered 90 configurations.
The bracket and armrests
Profile Design brought the fit options of its Supersonic to the Sonic by simplifying the extension clamp and moving the wing forward to the bar centreline, which also makes the Sonic its lightest current bracket. The Ergo armrest flips: swap sides or rotate it for smaller increments, which makes it simple to fine-tune a position or match your previous bike.
The extensions
The 52a extensions have a 52° grip. Hold high for a shrugged position or low for a more open, head-up position. They're 6061-T6 aluminium, 400 mm long, pre-drilled for rear-exit bar-end shifter routing, and work with electronic or mechanical shifters.
Compatibility & fit
Clamps a 31.8 mm handlebar, or 26.0 mm with Profile Design's shim kit (sold separately). Extensions are 22.2 mm OD. All bolts are M6: bar clamp 6 Nm, extension clamp 6 Nm, armrest bolts 4.7 Nm. Follow Profile Design's Sonic Ergo installation instructions.
Aerobar fitting and position set-up is a separate workshop service and isn't included in the price. Our workshop can fit the extensions, cut them to length and set up your position.
Profile Design warrants this product to the original retail purchaser against defects in materials and workmanship for two years from the date of original retail purchase. The warranty does not cover products that have been modified, misused, involved in a crash or impact, or damaged by improper assembly or by failing to follow the installation instructions.
