The 52 ASC follows Profile Design's first Aero Shaped Carbon extension, the 43 ASC, with a steeper grip angle and a longer grip. It's built to improve the aerodynamics and comfort of the aerobar you already run, and fits any aerobar designed for 22.2 mm extensions.

Shape and grip angle

From the wrist fin forward, the extension is angled up a further 9° compared with the 43 ASC, giving a 52° grip angle and wrist support. The grip is 20 mm longer to give more room for SRAM Blips, and it can be trimmed to suit.

Like the 43 ASC, the extension is moved sideways to share its frontal area with your arm, and the wrist area is shaped to smooth airflow over the arm and increase contact area for comfort and control. The shape was refined with CFD to reduce drag without giving up strength.

Length and cutting

The 400 mm extensions have a 137 mm rise (bottom to top) and 16 mm total offset. The minimum length is 290 mm, measured from the front of the clamp. They work with electronic or mechanical shifters.

Compatibility & fit

The clamping area is 22.2 mm outer diameter (18.8 mm inner), so the extensions fit any aerobar designed for 22.2 mm extensions. Profile Design says they pair especially well with its Race+ or Ergo+ armrests. A computer mount isn't included: Profile Design pairs the ASC extensions with its ASC Computer Mount, sold separately. Aerobar fitting and position set-up is a separate workshop service and isn't included in the price. Our workshop can fit and set up your aerobar.

The warranty does not cover products that have been modified, misused, involved in a crash or impact, or damaged by improper assembly or by failing to follow the installation instructions.
