Why the right gauge matters
A chain tool matched to your chain width keeps the driving pin aligned with the rivet, giving a clean push and reducing the risk of damaging the chain or the tool. This model uses a wider gauge suited to 1 to 9-speed chains and carries a printed speed indicator so you can confirm compatibility before you start.

Compatibility & fit
Designed for 1, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9-speed chains used on road, gravel, mountain and e-bikes. It is not intended for narrower 10, 11 or 12-speed chains; PRO offers a separate higher-speed tool for those drivetrains.
PRO tools are covered by PRO's manufacturer warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. This warranty does not cover normal wear, misuse, or damage from using the tool on an incompatible chain width.
