Cleaner transport and storage
With the rear wheel out, a loose chain swings against the chainstay and frame, picking up grime and leaving marks. This device takes the chain's place at the dropout and holds it under tension, so it stays put and stays clean while the bike is in a bag, on a rack or boxed for travel.

Compatibility & fit
Designed for bikes with a 12mm E-Thru (thru-axle) rear end, covering road and mountain bike use. If your bike runs a quick-release rear skewer instead, choose the quick-release version of the PRO Chain Tension Device (PRAC0096).
