The X-Spider is the part that makes Praxis's X-Rings modular: one spider takes every X-Ring set from 48/32 to 53/39, so you can change gearing without changing cranks.

Modular gearing

Praxis's X-Spider uses a unique 4-bolt 160/104BCD pattern, and every X-Ring gearing option fits the same spider, so a change from compact to race gearing is a ring swap.

Alloy or carbon crank?

Choose the version that matches your Praxis crank. If you're not sure which you have, send us a photo of the crank and we'll confirm before you order.

Fitting

Fitting is a separate workshop service and isn't included in the price. The Tune workshop can fit the spider on a clean, greased interface, fit your X-Rings with the correct M8 bolts and set up the front derailleur.

Compatibility & fit

  • Praxis 3-bolt direct mount road cranks with a removable spider.
  • Praxis X-Rings (4-bolt 160/104BCD) only; not 5-arm 110 or 130BCD rings.
  • Not for Praxis cranks with an integrated (non-DM) spider.

Praxis warrants its components to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for 2 years from the original purchase date, for the original owner. Normal wear and tear, general corrosion, crash or impact damage, incorrect installation (including the wrong tools) and modification aren't covered.

This cover is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Keep your proof of purchase. For warranty support, return the product to Tune Cycles and we'll manage the claim with Praxis's Australian distributor.
