What it does
Pulley wheels and cage plates wear over time, especially in gritty conditions, leading to noise, sloppy shifting and chain slap. Replacing them with the matched X-SYNC set returns the derailleur to factory chain retention and shift feel. The X-SYNC tooth profile uses tall, alternating teeth to grip the Eagle chain securely and resist drops on rough ground.
Inner cage and hardware
The kit pairs the alloy inner cage plate with an upper and lower pulley wheel and the matching titanium pulley bolts, so the assembly goes back together with the correct spacing and tension. Note that the lower pulley is the larger of the two and the pulleys must be fitted in their correct positions.
