The Scorpion SmarTUBE is Pirelli's mountain bike inner tube made from TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) instead of butyl, with a formulation that balances puncture protection, weight and packed size. It's a favourite spare with Pirelli's pro riders for marathon racing, trail and enduro. Available in 27.5 x 2.2-2.6, 29 x 1.8-2.2 and 29 x 2.2-2.6.

Why TPU

Replacing butyl with thermoplastic polyurethane gives the Scorpion SmarTUBE its low weight and small packed size while keeping reliability that an equivalent butyl tube can't match.

Compatibility & fit

For disc brake wheels only – SmarTUBEs are not suitable for rim brake wheelsets. Choose the size matching your wheel diameter and tyre width. Tube fitting is available as a separate workshop service; it is not included in the price.
