Scorpion Emperor is the all-rounder of Pirelli's gravity range, built for mixed terrain and changing conditions where adaptability counts. This is the 29 x 2.4 DualWALL Supersoft version with the team edition (yellow hotpatch).

Tread

Medium-spaced knobs, evenly balanced between centre and shoulder, give an ideal compromise between rolling efficiency and grip on changing terrain, with a balanced, predictable feel from hardpack to rougher ground. Run it as a complete set for balanced performance, or pair it with a Blacksting for more rolling speed or a Red Claw up front for more bite.

DualWALL casing

DualWALL is a 2-ply 120 TPI casing with a rubber insert reinforcing the bead area, where pinch flats happen. It gives dual-ply stability for enduro racing and bike park abuse while keeping a good feel for the ground.

Supersoft compound

Supersoft gives Pirelli's highest levels of grip and damping, conforming to the terrain for traction and control in the most technical and high-speed sections. Built for racing and extreme terrain.

Compatibility & fit

Pirelli's tech sheet specifies a 30C rim for all sizes in this range and marks the range tubeless ready and e-MTB ready. 29in sizes fit 622 wheels and 27.5in sizes fit 584 wheels; check frame and fork clearance, particularly for 2.6in widths. Tyre fitting and tubeless set-up are available as a separate workshop service; they are not included in the price.
