Pillar’s PSB23 is a heavy-gauge single-butted J-bend spoke — a full 2.6mm (12G) at the elbow stepping down to 2.3mm (13G) through the body — built for wheels carrying higher spoke tension, including eBike builds.

Heavier gauge for higher load
A single butt point keeps the spoke at full 12G thickness through the elbow — the highest-stress point on a loaded wheel — stepping down to 13G through the body. That extra gauge over a standard-duty spoke suits wheels under sustained higher tension, which is why Dirt Works lists this model for eBike builds.
Compatibility & fit
Spoke length is specific to the hub, rim and lacing pattern of the wheel it’s built into — there’s no generic right answer. The Tune Cycles workshop calculates the correct length for your build and laces the wheel in-house; because these spokes are supplied without nipples, pair them with nipples sized to this spoke’s gauge. A spoke cut or ordered to the wrong length can’t be corrected afterwards.
