Why single click on an eMTB?

On a standard MTB, multi-shift events (where a rider sweeps through multiple gears in one long lever press) are a convenience feature. On an eMTB under motor assist, rapidly shifting multiple gears while the motor applies torque can cause the chain to over-load, drop, or wear prematurely. The single click mechanism caps each event at one gear, reducing stress on the drivetrain under motor-assisted conditions.
