About the Forekaster
Redesigned from the ground up in 2022, the Forekaster is Maxxis's 'Goldilocks' trail tyre. It rolls faster than a Minion or even the Dissector, yet gives more predictable cornering, climbing and braking traction than the Aspen or Rekon. Maxxis recommends it for all trail conditions, from dry to soft and loose, front or rear.
MaxxTerra rubber and EXO+ casing
Next-generation MaxxTerra is an all-new formulation: Maxxis claims 30% more durability and 15% more traction than the original MaxxTerra, with no loss in rolling efficiency. EXO+ pairs a durable 60 TPI casing and EXO sidewalls with a small butyl bead insert that fends off pinch flats and rim damage.
Compatibility & fit
Fits 29-inch rims (ETRTO 66-622); Maxxis lists a 25–43 mm internal rim width. Maximum pressure is 40 psi. Check frame and fork clearance for a 2.60-inch tyre. Fitting isn't included; our workshop can mount it and set it up tubeless.
