The Minion DHR II is the rear tyre riders trust for hard braking and committed cornering, with widened DHF-style side knobs. This 27.5 x 2.40 version combines 3C MaxxTerra rubber with the Downhill casing on a tubeless-ready foldable bead.

About the Minion DHR II
Ramped centre knobs help it accelerate, sipes smooth the transition as you lean the bike, and paddle-like centre knobs dig in under hard braking. Maxxis designs it for the rear wheel, though it's popular up front too, and it pairs naturally with a Minion DHF.
3C MaxxTerra rubber and Downhill casing
3C MaxxTerra is Maxxis's intermediate triple compound: grippier than 3C MaxxSpeed, and longer-wearing and faster rolling than MaxxGrip, for all-round trail riding. The Downhill casing uses two 60 TPI plies and a large butyl insert running from each bead into the sidewall, Maxxis's most durable build for downhill, bike park and long-travel e-bikes.
Compatibility & fit
Fits 27.5-inch rims (ETRTO 61-584); Maxxis lists a 21–35 mm internal rim width. Maximum pressure is 50 psi. Check frame and fork clearance for a 2.40-inch tyre. Fitting isn't included; our workshop can mount it and set it up tubeless.
