About the Minion DHR II
Ramped centre knobs help it accelerate, sipes smooth the transition as you lean the bike, and paddle-like centre knobs dig in under hard braking. Maxxis designs it for the rear wheel, though it's popular up front too, and it pairs naturally with a Minion DHF.
BikePark rubber and Downhill casing
BikePark specs pair the Downhill casing with a long-wearing dual compound for riders who rack up lift-assisted laps. The Downhill casing uses two 60 TPI plies and a large butyl insert running from each bead into the sidewall, Maxxis's most durable build for downhill, bike park and long-travel e-bikes. A steel wire bead adds strength, though it won't fold for carrying.
Compatibility & fit
Fits 27.5-inch rims (ETRTO 63-584); Maxxis lists a 21–35 mm internal rim width. Maximum pressure is 50 psi. Check frame and fork clearance for a 2.50-inch tyre. Fitting isn't included; our workshop can mount it and set it up tubeless.
