The third-generation High Roller is a hybrid gravity tread that digs in where it's soft and stays stable on hard ground. This 27.5 x 2.40 version combines 3C MaxxGrip rubber with the New DH casing on a tubeless-ready foldable bead.

About the High Roller

Developed with Maxxis's World Cup racers, its mid-spike centre is like the Shorty's but lower, biting into soft, loose or dusty soil without squirming on hard ground, while large, well-supported side knobs keep cornering predictable. It clears debris better than the Assegai and handles drier conditions better than the Shorty.

3C MaxxGrip rubber and New DH casing

3C MaxxGrip is Maxxis's stickiest, slowest-rebounding mountain bike rubber, as used by its World Cup downhill and enduro racers, and it's at its best in soft, wet conditions. The New DH casing is dual-ply 120 TPI with progressive stiffness. Maxxis says it runs 2–3 psi lower than the old DH casing for more grip and damping, with better puncture protection at a similar weight.

Compatibility & fit

Fits 27.5-inch rims (ETRTO 61-584); Maxxis lists a 21–35 mm internal rim width. Maximum pressure is 50 psi. Check frame and fork clearance for a 2.40-inch tyre. Fitting isn't included; our workshop can mount it and set it up tubeless.
