The EXAR DB607 Ultra is Magene's deepest disc-brake race wheelset: a 60mm front and 67mm rear rim, HI-MOD carbon spokes and ceramic bearings for riders who want aero speed without a heavy wheelset.

Lower front, higher rear

Magene pairs a shallower front rim with a deeper rear. The rear carries the aero and inertia benefit, while the lower front keeps steering calm in crosswinds.

Carbon spokes and ceramic bearings

Each wheel uses HI-MOD carbon spokes in a 2:1 balanced lacing pattern, with rear tension of 130kgf ±10% drive side and 110kgf ±10% non-drive side. Ceramic bearings and a 36-tooth flat ratchet round out the hubs; the ratchet can be swapped for Magene's 54T ratchet.

Rim shape for modern tyres

A 23mm internal width is built around 28-32c tyres, giving a flatter tyre-to-rim profile for aerodynamics and comfort. Magene lists maximum pressures of 90psi clincher and 80psi tubeless with a 32c tyre.

Compatibility & fit

Disc brake only, for 100mm front and 142mm rear thru-axles. Supplied with a Shimano HG 11-speed freehub; Campagnolo N3W and SRAM XDR freehub bodies are sold separately. Compatible with tubeless and clincher tyres; tubeless rim tape, rim plugs and tubeless valves are included per Magene. Maximum system weight (rider plus bike) is 110kg. Wheel set-up, tyre fitting and tubeless set-up are available from our workshop as a separate service, not included in the price.
